Who we are

If it can be made from plastic, we'll make it.

B&M Plastics has been fabricating in Sydney since 1961. What started as a small family workshop is now a full-service plastics manufacturer trusted by architects, shopfitters, retailers, industrial clients and the trades.

From a single custom panel to a fleet of point-of-sale displays, every job gets the same hands-on attention. No account managers, no middle layer - you talk directly to the team doing the work.

Independently owned since 1961

65 years of delivering on our promise.

B&M Plastics opened its doors in Sydney in 1961. Sixty-five years later, we're still in the same workshop, doing the same thing - fabricating plastic for the trades, retailers, builders, signmakers and manufacturers that keep the city moving. We've outlasted trends, recessions and the steady creep of offshore competition because nothing replaces six decades of hard-won workshop knowledge.

100%

Independently owned and operated - every decision made in the workshop.

FAQ

Questions we get on the shop floor.

Sixty-five years of quoting plastic jobs means we hear the same questions a lot. Here are the answers - and if yours isn't here, the team will pick up the phone.

We aim to quote every job within 24 business hours. Send drawings, a sketch or even a phone photo - our team works through quotes daily and replies straight from the shop floor.

Acrylic (Perspex®), polycarbonate, HDPE, polypropylene, PVC, PETG, ACM composite panel, nylon, POM/acetal, PTFE and most sheet plastics. If you're not sure which is right for your job, our team will recommend a material based on the brief - see our full materials guide.

Both. We do single-part one-offs, prototypes, short runs and large production. From a single skylight to a fleet of POS displays for a national rollout - same team, same workshop, same quality.

DXF, DWG, STEP, IGES, PDF and Adobe Illustrator (AI/EPS) are all easy. SVG and JPG also work for simple parts. If you only have a sketch on paper or a photo from your phone, send that - our team rebuilds files in-house when needed.

CNC routing handles sheets up to 3.6 m × 2 m. Laser cutting goes up to 3 m × 1.5 m and 40 mm thick. Line bending up to 3.6 m long. Thermo forming up to 3.2 m × 3.2 m. Diamond-edge polishing up to 80 mm thick.

Yes. We freight Australia-wide from our Yennora workshop. Sydney metro pickup and delivery is included on most quotes; interstate orders go via standard freight or palletised. From Perth to Cairns, we ship to every state and territory.

Yes. Our plastic welders are credentialled to recognised industry standards and we can provide pressure-test documentation for tank, ducting and bunding work where required for compliance. Talk to us about your specific certification requirements before quote.

No minimum. We genuinely take one-off jobs - a single replacement guard, a single dome, a single sign letter. Setup time on small jobs is honest in the quote.

We opened in 1961 and have been fabricating plastic in Sydney continuously for 65+ years. Independently owned and operated the entire time, all from our Yennora workshop.

Absolutely. Send a hand drawing, an iPhone photo of an existing part, or a screenshot of something you've seen - our team rebuilds the file in CAD here and sends it back for sign-off before we cut. No design fee on standard quotes.

It depends on material, thickness, dimensions, finish, quantity and complexity - every job is quoted individually. Send a brief and we'll come back inside 24 business hours with a confirmed price. No quote fees. No "from $X" advertising - just real numbers for your real job.

Standard turnaround is one to two weeks from quote approval, depending on workshop load and job complexity. Smaller cut-to-size jobs often run inside the same week. Multi-store rollouts and tooled production runs schedule across weeks or months - we'll quote a delivery date upfront. Got a real deadline? Tell us at quote stage and we'll prioritise where we can.

Yes - wholesale pricing for sign shops, builders, fabricators and resellers, with account terms by arrangement after a few jobs through. Talk to the trade counter for pricing and standing-order programs. Repeat customers and pallet-quantity buys get the best rates.

Yes - workshop pickup at Yennora during standard hours: Mon–Thu 7:30am to 4:30pm, Fri 7:30am to 1:00pm. We'll let you know when your job is ready. Trade pickup is welcome and most of our regular sign-shop and builder customers pick up direct.

Both. We rebuild your supplied files in CAD as standard, and for new builds we'll work from a sketch, a photo, a sample part or just a description. We size, draft and detail in-house - no design fee on standard quotes. For complex bespoke work that needs prototyping, tooling design or 3D modelling, we'll quote that scope upfront.

Absolutely. Bring us a broken display panel, a leaking tank, a damaged signage face, a cracked machine guard - most things plastic, we'll repair or replace. For tank and bunding repairs that can't easily come off-site, we offer on-site welding by arrangement. Send a photo and we'll quote.
